Affiliate Disclosure
Short version: Some links on this site earn us a small commission when you click and buy. It never changes what we recommend. Every article that contains an affiliate link says so, clearly.
What affiliate links are
An affiliate link is a URL that contains a tracking code. When you click an affiliate link and make a purchase, the retailer pays us a small percentage of the sale value as a commission.
The price you pay is identical whether you use our link or go directly to the retailer. Affiliate links do not add cost to your purchase. They are a standard way for independent editorial websites to generate revenue without advertising.
You can usually tell an affiliate link from the URL — it will contain tracking parameters such as awinmid, tag=styledcozy21-21, or similar.
Our affiliate networks
We are members of the following affiliate networks:
- Awin — Publisher ID 1919335. Our primary UK affiliate network, used for beauty, home, and lifestyle retailers.
- Commission Junction (CJ) — CID 7520495. Used for products not covered by Awin.
- Amazon Associates UK — Associates ID styledcozy21-21. Used as a fallback for products available on Amazon UK.
We only apply to join affiliate programmes for retailers whose products we would genuinely recommend.
Amazon Associates disclosure
Styled & Cozy Spaces is a participant in the Amazon Associates Programme, an affiliate advertising programme designed to provide a means for sites to earn fees by linking to Amazon.co.uk. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases.
Amazon affiliate links carry the tracking tag styledcozy21-21 and are marked with a disclosure note on any article that contains them.
ASA and CAP compliance
We comply with the UK Advertising Standards Authority (ASA) and Committee of Advertising Practice (CAP) guidance on affiliate marketing.
- Every social media post containing affiliate links is marked #ad at the start of the caption, as required by ASA guidance
- We do not use #affiliate or #spon as standalone identifiers — ASA does not consider these sufficient
- Articles containing affiliate links carry an inline disclosure statement
- The disclosure is always visible and not hidden behind a link or in small print
Our editorial independence
Affiliate commission is never a factor in what we recommend. We do not write about products because they have high commission rates. We do not exclude products because they are not in an affiliate programme.
We do not accept payment for editorial coverage. We do not publish advertorials. Articles are capped at two affiliate links each — an editorial decision to prevent articles becoming product catalogues.
